Donations to Pulse of the City Soiree 2021 will support two important areas of Banner Health:
- Banner Children’s Medical Centers: In keeping with the Soiree’s tradition of supporting our youngest patients, half of proceeds will support a variety of services and care programs at Banner Children’s at Desert (Mesa), Banner Children’s at Thunderbird (Glendale), and Banner Children’s at Diamond Children’s Medical Center (Tucson). Programs include pediatric Intensive Care Unit expansion, care for childhood cancers and congenital heart disorders, indoor and outdoor recreation spaces and therapeutic play zones, on-site schooling for hospitalized children, music therapy, pet therapy, the Child Life program, and more.
- Healing and Recovery for Banner Health Clinical Staff: As the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic continues, half of the Soiree proceeds will support the healing and recovery of our healthcare professionals experiencing the most traumatic period in medicine in their lifetimes. Today, 75% of physicians are reporting psychological distress, 65% are reporting increased burnout, and 25% of all healthcare professionals are considering leaving the field of medicine. Banner Health is committed to providing the professional counseling and mental health care, emotional support, and dedicated resources to help our valued professionals heal and recover from their experiences, find joy in medicine once again, and continue providing vital health care for our communities.
While this year’s Pulse of the City Soiree is sold out, you can still support these worthy programs with a tax-deductible donation. Thank you for your generous support!
