I'm biking with the Friends of the Bourne Rail Trail for clean water at the Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride!
Buzzards Bay is one of the most beautiful coastal waterway son the East Coast, but it's under constant threat from dangers like nitrogen pollution, oil spills, and disappearing wetlands. You can help save Buzzards Bay by donating to my upcoming Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride on Sunday, October 2.
I'll be riding with the Bourne Rail Trail Blazers! As some know, I'm involved with the Friends of the Bourne Rail Trail. We're a grassroots organization dedicated to developing a rail-trail which will directly connect the Shining Sea Bikeway in Falmouth with the Cape Cod Canal Path in Bourne and Sandwich. By developing the trail, the Friends aim to improve the quality of life in Bourne for Bourne residents and visitors, use the publicly owned Falmouth Secondary Line to serve a public purpose, and support Bourne businesses and economic development.
You all know I'd be roller blading this bike ride if I could, but it works out, cuz Jordan scored me a sweet bike earlier this summer :)
Anyway, I'm certainly a supporter of keeping Buzzards Bay clean, but my heart is truly in this to promote developing the Bourne Rail Trail. Can you imagine how great it'd be to bike/blade/walk/run/skip from Bourne to Woods Hole???
Thank you for your support! Kelly Race
