The South Coast Bikeway team returns to raise funds to protect our Bay!! New this year! While there will be no Pedal for the Path this September, we invite you to support the SCBA Team riding in the October 1 Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride. While the main purpose of the ride is to support the Buzzards Bay Coalition’s efforts for clean water in Buzzards Bay, the SCBA has been given permission to “piggyback” on their fundraising. If we can identify matching donors, funds raised by our Watershed Ride team will be matched with a gift to the SCBA. So, we are asking for your support. We are working to secure matching donors. Buzzards Bay is one of the most beautiful coastal waterways on the East Coast. But it's under constant threat from dangers like nitrogen pollution, oil spills, and disappearing forests and wetlands.
You can help us save Buzzards Bay by donating to our upcoming Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride on Sunday, October 1. Our team will be doing our part by joining hundreds of others in cycling around the Bay to raise funds for and awareness of the need to restore and protect clean water in our community.
One donation at a time, over 16 years, riders like us have raised over two million dollars to fight pollution, permanently protect natural areas, harness the power of science, and increase access to the outdoors for all people.
Through this challenging event, we're hoping to raise funds for Coalition's conservation, research, advocacy, education work. Your donation will truly make a difference in helping to protect clean water for all of us - and for future generations!
Monies raised through the donation match will be used to help fund design, engineering and building of pathways between Fall River and New Bedford with pathways through Westport and Dartmouth or other South Coast Bikeway missing link. Please help us complete the South Coast Bikeway and protect our Bay.
