Set on the beautiful South Coast of Massachusetts, the Buzzards Bay Swim is a one-of-a-kind point-to-point open water swim across outer New Bedford Harbor. Assisted by a robust safety patrol, swimmers navigate 1.2 miles through the scenic harbor, passing by the iconic Butler Flats Lighthouse and the New Bedford Hurricane Barrier, one of the largest stone structures on the East Coast. At the fun and festive finish line, swimmers arrive at a beach party featuring a live steel drum band, pancakes cooked to order, gourmet coffee, free massages, and local beer!

Swimmers fundraise to protect clean water by supporting the Buzzards Bay Coalition's work across land protection, science, advocacy, and education. Team participation is welcome and encouraged to help #SAVEBUZZARDSBAY!

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION FEE JUST $15 (a 40% savings!) THROUGH JANUARY 31! Registration fee and $150 fundraising minimum (pay-or-raise) includes parking, shuttle service, bag check, event swim cap, chip timing, snacks, breakfast, beverages, modern cut event t-shirt, live music, post-swim massage, awards and prizes, and a hefty bronze finisher's medal custom made by local artisans. "My friend and I were first-time swimmers, and we had a blast! We felt so encouraged and welcomed by every single person at the event. We will definitely be back next year!"
