I'm swimming for clean water at the Buzzards Bay Swim!
Hello dear friends and family,
I am so excited to be swimming for a cause near and dear to me! Every summer I swim in the Westport River and at the beach, it is my favorite time of year for outdoor activity, especially because of the long outdoor swims. This year I started swimming at the Y in Fall River in February, I am hooked! I would like to be able to swim in the River and ocean for the rest of my life, it is truly my happy place!
Buzzards Bay is one of the most beautiful coastal waterways on the East Coast, but it's under constant threat from dangers like nitrogen pollution, oil spills, and disappearing forests and wetlands.
You can help save Buzzards Bay by donating to my upcoming Buzzards Bay Swim on Saturday, June 26. I’ll be doing my part by joining hundreds of others in swimming 1.2 miles across outer New Bedford Harbor as we raise funds for and awareness of the need to protect clean water in our community.
Through this challenging event, I'm hoping to meet or exceed my fundraising goal to support the Buzzards Bay Coalition's important work across conservation, research, advocacy, and education. Any amount - big or small - truly makes a difference in helping to protect clean water for today, and for future generations.
Thank you for your support!
If you prefer not to donate online, you can fill out this form and return it along with your payment to the Buzzards Bay Coalition, 114 Front Street, New Bedford, MA 02740. If you're sending a check, please make sure the swimmer's name is written on the check.
