Humans have an innate need for connection and purpose. We need to know that we have value, that we matter, that someone is in our corner no matter what. At Big Brothers Big Sisters, we believe that every child deserves to have someone in their corner, and every child has the potential to follow their heart, change their cicumstances and achieve their dreams.

BBBSKC relies on staff, amazing volunteer mentors, and donors, just like you, to support over 1,300 Big and Little friendships in our community. Now, more than ever, children and teens need someone they can lean on and depend on in times like these. When matched with a Big, 99% of Little Brothers and Sisters in Kansas City graduate high school on-time, and 84% report improved self-esteem.

Right now, there are over 300 Littles waiting for a Big. I’m hoping to raise $500 so that these kids can be matched with a positive, caring mentor.

The BBBSKC program is free to Littles and their families, but it costs $1,500 to support a match for a year, and $250 to recruit each new Big. When you give, your generosity helps empower the potential of the next generation of college graduates, community leaders, and entrepreneurs.
