Feeling Strong & Healthy 2 years into the BC Journey
The Walk to End Bladder Cancer is a major fundraiser for BCAN (Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network) and it will be on Saturday, May 18. BCAN helped me through the early confusing and scary days after my surgery. I learned from the bladder cancer forum that I would be able to return to all the things I love to do in spite of the changes to my body. Through the forum and all the information on BCAN’s website, questions are answered , support is given in the hardest of times, and joy shared as another 6 months, year or many years pass with no evidence of disease (NED). BCAN is a valuable resource.
The Dirt Dauber Clay Festival is held every year the weekend after Mothers Day—May 18 and 19 this year. Almost two years into this journey I am feeling strong and healthy and anxious to get back into my life as a potter. Participating in the festival is important for living my life to the fullest.
I will be supporting the Austin Walk to End BC, but I will be “walking” in San Marcos at the Dirt Dauber Festival.
