Welcome to My Personal Page
I lost my dear sister to bladder cancer in 2022. Sue had fought a long and courageous battle against the disease for five years. Although she was brilliant, a strong advocate and had a great medical background and network, even she could not overcome the head start that the cancer had when she was finally diagnosed. I first walked to raise funds for the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) in May 2019 with my daughter in Boston. Thanks to all who supported us then! Sue was grateful for our support and participated in a BCAN walk in Seattle that year. This May to honor her memory, I will again be walking for BCAN - this time in San Diego on May 6.
I am also walking to honor Thomas Haggerty, my good friend Jane and her husband, Andy's uncle. Uncle Tom lost his battle with bladder cancer. As Jane says, there is Too. Much. Cancer.
BCAN is the only national advocacy organization devoted to advancing bladder cancer research and supporting those impacted by the disease.
Please consider a generous, tax-deductible donation to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network that will help them advocate for greater public awareness and increase funding for research to find a cure for bladder cancer.
Your donation will help BCAN reach more people with this disease and importantly, save lives.
