Why Walk with Us?
On May 31, 2025, our local community will gather to demonstrate support for those diagnosed with bladder cancer. There is a significant need to disseminate information regarding early detection and treatment of bladder cancer. This cancer affects more younger men and women every year. We can directly assist in the fight to eradicate this disease by helping fund research and patient support services. BCAN, as the leading organization that supports bladder cancer patients and their families, organizes this annual event to offer hope to those in need. No one walks alone.
Pittsburgh Walk Goals:
Create awareness in the Community
Raise funds to support vital research
Support one another in our cancer journey
At the Walk:
The main event is the walk itself where all of us, patients and supporters, join in a common activity. One mile walk starts at 10:00 a.m. North Park Boathouse.
- Meet those who are battling or have beaten bladder cancer
- Share our stories with other patients and supporters
- Talk with a member of a local bladder cancer support group - and join!
- Meet a local bladder cancer researcher
- Talk with a Urological Cancer Surgeon
