We are grappling with an unprecedented health issue, and our thoughts are with our community, and all those affected by COVID-19.
After careful consideration, the 2020 Glotman·Simpson Cypress Challenge has been postponed to 2021. With strict physical distancing protocols, and the directive from B.C.’s Public Health Office to cancel any gathering larger than 50 people, we recognize how priorities need to change and our community must adapt to this unique situation.
We believe it’s our responsibility to do everything we can to keep our community as safe as possible. Fundraising events are a crucial source of funding to advance cancer research and care, but we are committed to the health and safety of our participants, donors, volunteers and stakeholders.
The Glotman·Simpson Cypress Challenge is led by a volunteer Event Committee, and we all share in your disappointment. This event is a true team effort and we take pride in delivering a first-class experience to you, and we will continue to do so when we return in 2021.
We want to thank you for your support. You are an integral part of the community that makes the Glotman·Simpson Cypress Challenge so special.
Cancer doesn’t stop and neither will we. Please save-the-date for Sunday, August 8, 2021, when we return with the 2021 Glotman·Simpson Cypress Challenge.
As a past supporter, you know the impacts of pancreatic cancer, with more than 800 British Columbians diagnosed annually. We are still committed to these patients and supporting them during this challenging time. If you have the ability to donate today, know that your gift will have life-saving impacts on patients.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this uncertain and evolving time. We hope you will join us again in 2021.
