Community Cat Image Legislative Alert

Last week, the Spartanburg County Council approved a resolution authorizing the implementation of a trap-neuter-return (TNR) program for cats in the county beginning November 1. Please take a moment to thank your council members for their support of this progressive, lifesaving program.

TNR offers an effective humane alternative for managing a community’s population of ownerless, free-roaming cats. In addition, these programs protect public health and reduce nuisance complaints. Simply put, TNR is sound public policy. No wonder TNR is becoming increasingly popular across the country.

Please use Best Friends’ action alert to contact your county council member, thanking them for this important program. You can also share this message on Facebook and Twitter with all your Spartanburg County friends and family.

Dear [Decision Maker],

As a Spartanburg County resident, taxpayer and voter, I am very pleased with your recent approval of a trap-neuter-return (TNR) for our community.

TNR offers an effective humane alternative for managing a community's population of ownerless, free-roaming cats. In addition, these programs protect public health and reduce nuisance complaints. Simply put, TNR is sound public policy. No wonder TNR is becoming increasingly popular across the country -- and now, right here in Spartanburg County.

Again, thank you for supporting this progressive lifesaving program!

Sincerely,
