In Loving Memory of our Dad and his 19 month battle against brain cancer, we have joined the movement to end brain tumours and we hope you’ll support our team in this Canada-wide effort to put a stop to this disease.
Our dad was diagnosed on September 28, 2017 - his 58th birthday. With the utmost stength, courage, and hope he fought and always said "I will beat this". He went through hell and back yet found a way to remain positive and supportive towards his family and friends even while going through brain surgery, chemo, and radiation. He always had a smile on his face and never once complained that things got hard. He fought and he fought hard!
In January 2019 our dad was unfortunately re-diagnosed. He continued to fight like a champ up until his final days. He wanted to win not only for himself but for his wife and kids. On April 27, 2019 Amar sadly passed away due to respiratory complications from his cancer treatment. He is missed, remembered, and loved every single day by his family. He was a true angel on earth and now he is above watching over us.
By signing up for a Brain Tumour Walk, our team has made a commitment to end brain tumours and to help provide the essential information and support that every person diagnosed deserves.
All money raised through Brain Tumour Walk events strengthens the national movement to end this life-changing disease and brings hope to individuals and families across the country:
Hope for progress in discovering the cause of brain tumours.
Hope for better treatments for every child and adult diagnosed.
And most of all, the hope for a cure.
Thank you for supporting me and my team, and more importantly, for helping the 55,000 Canadians who live with a brain tumour today.
