South Huron-Heading for Hope
Its been seven years since I went through my Brain Tumour journey. I am one of the very lucky ones to come through such a terrifying ordeal so well. I am thankful every day. Brain tumours can strike anyone without warning at all. There effects can last a lifetime. They dont discriminate.
Today I continue to raise awareness, support and funds for a cause near and dear to my heart. The team I created in 2011 is called South Huron Heading for Hope. We will be walking in the Brain Tumour Walk in London on Sunday June 11th. We are helping patients and their families in our own community and across the country. We have grown to 30 strong. It's important to let patients and their families know that they should NEVER have to go through this alone. We all walk together to let them know...."They're never alone!" We also walk to honour and remember loved ones lost.
