Hamilton-Niagara Virtual Brain Tumour Walk 2020

Welcome back Team Hayden! We hope to see you again this year at the walk and invite anyone new to attend!

We are part of the movement to end brain tumours and I hope you’ll support me and my team in this Canada-wide effort to put a stop to this disease.

We invite you to take steps to #EndBrainTumours as we support, celebrate and remember. We may be physically distant, but we will still come together in a new way through this year’s #VirtualBrainTumourWalk. Canada is strong and our spirits resilient. We can do this! So far Team Hayden has raised $1,812.00 for this years walk!

Together we will create a virtual hug, and together we will #EndBrainTumours!
I challenge you to challenge 10 friends to donate $27 (or an amount they choose) and share a picture of a person who inspires them and tag away! My picture is Hayden, my hero and daughter
Here’s how:

Step 1. Register Team Hayden - link @braintumourfdn

Once you have registered, we can start taking steps to #EndBrainTumours together.

Step 2. Fundraise

YOU make it possible for people affected by a brain tumour to live longer, better, and with hope. YOU make it possible for research to advance, support to continue, and awareness to grow. YOU make all this possible with every dollar you raise.

Please start YOUR fundraising now. Challenge to #EndBrainTumours.

Step 3. Take Steps to complete your challenge.

This year, we will come together on one day, from coast to coast to coast! We will all take steps together on June 27, 2020. No matter where you are.

Team Hayden joined the Brain Tumour Walk event to walk in Hayden's memory in 2019 and was awarded the Cup of Hope in October 2019. We raised over $45,000 to change the future for other families affected by a brain tumour.

No one should have to say "I am a brain tumour survivor", but at just 2 years old Hayden did.

This horrible fight against cancer should not have to be conquered by anyone. Hayden passed away January 11, 2019 from respiratory failure. She was considered cancer free but she died due to the consequences of this disease and she fought like a warrior. Through her physical donation to medicine and research she has now bravely empowered a continued fight for children's health. She managed in her very short life to impact so many people by reminding them of how to live fully, laugh hard and fight literally for your life. Because of that, her death is not an end but rather an ongoing contribution to this fight.

By signing up for the Brain Tumour Walk, me and my team have made a commitment to end brain tumours and to help provide the essential information and support that every person diagnosed deserves.

All money raised through Brain Tumour Walk events strengthens the national movement to end this life-changing disease and brings hope to individuals and families across the country:

Hope for progress in discovering the cause of brain tumours.

Hope for better treatments for every child and adult diagnosed.

And most of all, the hope for a cure.

Thank you for supporting me and my team, and more importantly, for helping the 55,000 Canadians who live with a brain tumour today.

Love Candice Petrovic, on behalf of my hero and daughter Hayden Georgia
