It has now been over 10 years since my mom passed from a primary brain tumor.  For more than 2 years she fought the ever changing symptoms of the cancer to the bitter end.  So many things have changed in that short period of time, but the feeling of loss never will.  My family and I participate in this walk to show our support for the families who are currently fighting this terrible disease and to honor those who have been lost.  My children will never meet their Grandma Lissa, but through my memories, they will certainly know who she was.
