Welcome to My Personal Page

Hello!
My name is Shannon Harrington and I have decided to take part in the Brain Tumor Walk this Spring in San Francisco. I am walking in memory of my dad, Sean G. Harrington who passed away in June of 2010. Being an only child allowed me to have a close relationship with my dad. He was such a loving person and loved me more then I can probably ever imagine. When I was very young I struggled with Leukemia and luckily survived with him and my mother right beside me the whole way through. He was a man of many jokes. He had a great sense of humor. He made me love baseball and raised me to be a dedicated Oakland A's fan, just like he had grown up to be. He was married to my wonderful mother for 24 years. I have decided to take part in this walk not only in memory and love for him but for others. The walk is to raise awareness, to raise money for help and research and to also rememeber those we love. I am participating to improve the lives of all those affected by brain tumors. Funds raised here helps to direct promising research, support families who are currently coping with the effects of a brain tumor diagnosis, and advocate for change.
I have joined this movement to bring the issue of brain tumors to the forefront. Progress is being made, but there is so much more to be done. Please support my efforts!

National Brain Tumor Society unrelentingly invests in, mobilizes, and unites our community to discover a cure, deliver effective treatments, and advocate for patients and care partners.
Conquering and curing brain tumors - once and for all.
