I have a very personal reason to walk and raise money for this cause. I became very up close and personal when my 15 year old daughter Destiny was diagnosed with meningioma which is non cancerous tumors in 2013. She has 7 tumors that have brought her through 2 brain surgeries, 30 days of radiation and loss of her vision. We are extremely blessed that so far her tumors are stable, however we are fully aware that at any moment that can change. Currently Destiny is excelling in life and living everyday as it could be her last.

Then in 2017 we were rocked yet again. My 8 year old niece Danica Sonoma County's "Princess Warrior" was diagnosed with PXA. She was another strong little girl fighting a major battle in our lives. Danica went through 2 extremely long surgeries and chemo. Danica continued to have a smile on her face daily, dance and sang every chance she could get. It was with an extremely heavy heart when we were given the news that Danica's tumor came back and the chemo was no longer going to work. I had to watch not only everyone who ever met her go through such saddness but to watch her mom and dad lose their precious baby girl. Danica always thought about everyone and wanted to make sure that they were ok and this is another way we can have her work through us and hopefully raise money to help other little children to never have to go through the pain Danica and all of us have had to.

I am uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. I am passionate about this cause, so I’m taking action. I need your help in this fight. National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort!
