My brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor in April 2019. A lot has happened in a year!! A leave of absence from work, surgery, chemo, radiation, back to work in August, MRI's, news of tumor regrowth this past April, resignation from work, 2nd awake surgery and Immunotherapy via clinical trial. The second chapter of this journey occurred right in the middle of the Covid-19 crisis, while sheltering in place. That meant Oliver was in the hospital alone. He is continuing infusions every 3 weeks for the Immunotherapy.
Once again, I am uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. UCSF is a research hospital and Oliver feels so blessed to be a part of a clinical trial. Many of the trials are funded by the money we raise for NBTS.I am very passionate about this cause, so I’m taking action. I need your help in this fight.
Last year Team Olliestrong raised nearly $40K and we were the number one team in fundraising. I know this is a very challenging time for everyone and some people are experiencing financial difficulties as well. If this wasn't such an important cause for us, I wouldn't be asking. No donation is too small, every dollar counts. Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort!
National Brain Tumor Society unrelentingly invests in, mobilizes, and unites our community to discover a cure, deliver effective treatments, and advocate for patients and care partners.
Conquering and curing brain tumors - once and for all.
