I am uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain cancer. I am passionate about this cause, so I’m taking action and we need your help in this fight.
It has been 2 years from when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. In January 2017 I underwent a craniotomy with tumor resection, in February of 2017 I was told my brain tumor was brain cancer and began chemo/radiation immediately. It has been a very long recovery, but I am thankful to have had my family and friends by my side cheering me on along the way.
I participated in this walk last year and it was moving to see all the love and support for brain tumor/brain cancer warriors. I learned that I am not alone and we need to bring brain tumor/brain cancer awareness to the forefront of cancer fundraising and research!
Some facts from the National Brain Tumor Society: In the last 30 years there have been only 4 FDA approved medications, surgery and radiation remain the main mode of treatment. For 30 YEARS!!!!! Brain tumors also have the highest per-patient initial cost of care for ANY cancer group. Brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer related death in 0-19 year olds, surpassing leukemia!!!
We need your help. Gray matters too y'all.
National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort!
I set the goal to raise $1000. Thank you!
