Team Lisa B
This is my 21st year of the Brain Tumor ride. In ’99 the journey began following Lisa’s ’98 diagnosis of Glioblastoma. She is 1 in 10,000 lucky 2 decades later. THAT was a very uncertain time for our family. I felt that somehow fighting back thru fund raising for research would be something I could do. The first Team was about 20 riders, and this continued for several years. Time moved on, Lisa recovered well from treatments and our lives happily resumed. Raising 2 daughters, getting them in and out of college, family vacations- We’ve been enjoying the ride. I rode each year since with varying numbers of friends and family along with me. I’ve ridden in honor of friends who were not as fortunate as Lisa in their Brain Tumor diagnosis. Other events over the years such as PMC and TDC diverted folks to other wonderful causes. This year feels like the year to bring back Team Lisa B in full force. The largest team yet. I intend to bring back team mates from the other causes for this year, or in addition to.
Team Lisa B will have friends, family members, even a likely future family member too! It’s been a 21 year ride for sure for our family with many ups and down and plenty of gratitude for our good fortune and 2 awesome daughters. We have had our challenges like any family. Once again this year, amidst some of our greatest challenges to date- this feels like the year to give Brain Tumors and all that they cause some additional funding. Team Lisa B is feeling it!
So, Welcome to Team Lisa B. Welcome back to Team Lisa B. Welcome sponsors and we welcome your love and support. Call me w/ any questions 508-843-3693.
