Come ride with ME!
I am so excited to ride my bike and fundraise for the National Brain Tumor Society's (NBTS) National Brain Tumor Ride in honor of Brain Tumor Awareness Month because I am passionate about the NBTS mission to conquer and cure brain tumors — once and for all.
5 years ago, once cleared to exercise, the first thing I did was to jump on my trainer. It was comforting knowing I could still ride a bike. Then, finding out my radiologist had a mountain bike, I made a promise, after treatment I would take him mountain biking. Three months later we did. Four months later I was racing Cyclocross again. As you can see Cycling is important to me and was crucial in my recovery. So please think about joining Team Food Baby to raise money in support of this great organization. If you don't want to ride, then throw a little cash my way.
In addition, I am also committing to a couple challenges:
First, for the highest fundraiser on our team, I will ride with them on May 16th. You have to join the team to take part in this challenge.
Second, for every dollar the pledged to me I will ride one vertical foot. This challenge will close on May 16th. If I raise $1000, I will do a ride after May 16th that covers 1,000 vertical feet. If I raise $5000, I will ride 5,000 vertical feet. Sort of a mini Everesting challenge (google it). https://everesting.cc/
Third, to my top donor, not on the team, I will come ride with you or do a ride of your choosing. (at a later date of course).
NBTS needs our support. After a year like no other, supporting this mission is more critical than ever. No donation is too small. With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of those living with a brain tumor. Thank you for your support and please consider tuning in as we honor this community on May 16th.
