Never in a thousand years could I have imagined that brain cancer would affect my family. In March of this year my cousin's husband Shawn learned of his Glioblastoma (GBM) diagnosis. Shawn is a loving husband, father of two great children, brother, son, uncle, co-worker, neighbor and friend to many. He loves to golf, snow mobile and is an avid Boston Bruins fan. Additionally, he and his wife Gabby just celebrated 25 years of marriage. We all agree that #cancersucks but Shawn’s positive attitude is driving his recovery and he hopes that his story will help others.
Please consider joining our team #ShawnStrong so that we can make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. I am passionate about this cause, so I'm taking action. I need your help in this fight by walking and/or making a tax-deductible donation. Donating to this cause will allow the Brain Tumor Society continue to support research and public policy in order to improve the availability of new and better treatments and fuel the discovery of a cure for brain tumors.
There are several ways to support the cause. You may join us at 10am on Sunday, October 20, 2019 in Boston, become a virtual walker or make a tax-deductible donation. Your support would be greatly appreciated. You may contact me at email@example.com if you have any questions.
Thank you in advance for your time, consideration and generosity.
