My name is Ashley and I am a survivor! I was diagnosed with a brain tumor the size of a peach in my right frontal lobe in December 2014. After 16 hours of brain surgery, 6 weeks of radiation, and a year of chemotherapy, I am tumor free!
As of today, there are over 140 different types of brain tumors and only 4 drugs to treat them. Brain cancer is the most underfunded of all cancers. The National Brain Tumor Society funds research and fights for policy so we can find a cure! Thanks to all of you for coming out here today, we are closer to that cure!
This cause is especially dear to me because I work very closely with children every day. Brain tumors are the #1 cancer killer of children! I am passionate about this cause, so I’m taking action. I need your help in this fight. National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join Team Ashley to walk or run for a cure!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
