Family and Friends of Bert Glaser, MD
My beloved husband, Dr. Bert Glaser, was a devoted family man, brilliant person, world-renowned retinal surgeon, researcher, teacher and mentor. He was diagnosed with a Stage 4 Glioblastoma in November of 2017. He passed away only 5 months later. Since then, I have learned that there are close to 200 different types of brain tumors- both malignant and benign. This disease strikes young and old alike and does not discriminate. Some people are permanantly affected in many different ways for the rest of their lives. People with brain tumors are at higher risk to contract the Covid-19 virus.
In Bert's name, I am asking for much needed funding to the National Brain Tumor Society through the Maryland Brain Tumor Walk to help fight and cure this disease. Any amount, large or small, will be greatly appreciated.
Together in the fight,
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research and advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
