Welcome to My Personal Page
This page is dedicated to my brother Russell who lost his 2yr battle with a brain tumor in 2000 at the age of 29. Since, then I have been a member of the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) and have made a number of donations in my brother's name. Now for the 8th year in row, I am leading a team of incredible people at the NYC Brain Tumor Walk. Over the past years we have raised over $150,000. With your help we can do more to continue fighting this terrible disease. As you can see this cause is very personal to me. Let me share my story with you.
A lot of you knew my brother Russell, or perhaps heard stories about him. He was diagnosed with a tumor at the age of 27. He endured over five craniotomies, chemotherapy, radiation, and so much more. During a brief remission he and his wife had a baby. Unfortunately, the disease was very aggressive and Russell passed away 4 days after his daughters 1st birthday. It's difficult to sum him up in a few sentences, but I personally like to remember his infectious sense of humor, courage and humility. He was and always will be my HERO.
I KNOW he would not want this to be a sad day for us. That is why I would like to ask you to join me, and Russell's daughter Jessica, my amazing Co-Captain, for a fun day of catching up with family and friends, making some new friends, and getting some leisurely exercise and fresh air in NYC. The walking path is safe and clear for strollers and wagons, so little ones are welcome to join the fun. And if you can't walk, please consider donating to Team Russell's Legacy. There has already been great progress treating the very same type brain tumor my brother fought. Together we can help other families and friends like mine.
Join us and together we will make a difference.
Thanks so much. Dominic
