New York City Brain Tumor Walk

Team Ruth

Ruth Pleasant, affectionately known to many as "Mama", was the best Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.  She was always positive, kind, inspiring, and non-judgmental. It was very difficult not to feel right at home in her presence. We are so grateful to have had her for as long as God saw fit to keep her in this life.

We participated in the National Brain Tumor Society walk for the first time in 2013 and again in 2014.  We were so inspired and felt so honored to be a part of such a great cause.  Team Ruth is back on the move this year to walk in her memory and to do our part to help find a cure.

We are also remembering our little angel Aesha Jameelah Smith on that day.  She got her wings on 9/18/77 after only 18 months with us.

Progress in this fight starts with one team, one walker, and one dollar at a time.

Please join us on Sunday, June 9 as a walking team member or as a sponsor
