New York City Brain Tumor Walk

My first Year
My first Year

Team Betty Boop

Hello Hello and welcome to Team Betty Boop Again.

This is year 4 for me and year 2 being Emcee and on this wonderful committee.

As you all know i joined this great organization back in 2015 when my beautiful mother Benedetta "Betty" LoCicero was diagnosed with Glioblastoma.  I joined to help educate me on this horrible disease and to give me hope and stregnth to get through what was ahead.  This disease took my mom from me one year later in 2016 and I decided I wanted to continue the walk to raise more awareness and help me cope with her loss.  Many friends and family asked "Why are you still participating?  Your mom passed away.  I said WHY NOT."  Just because my mom didn't survive doesn't mean I have to give up on a cure or helping others deal with this disease.  Whether it be me walking, raising money, receiving IN KIND donations, or speaking to a care taker, I feel a need to continue being a part of the National Brain Tumor Society.  Last year I joined the committee and was also honored to Emcee the event and this year I will continue to do the same.

There is hope out there and we need to continue to raise money and raise awareness to find a cure.  I do this for my mom, for the sick, for the care takers and for the strong survivors which are my heroes.

Please join me this year on Team Betty Boop and you will experiene an amazing journey.  God bless you all

Daniella LoCicero
