As many of you know, I started walking in the Race for Hope 5K after a dear friend and colleague, Diane Granat Yalowitz, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2005. Sadly, Diane lost her battle with cancer, but Team Washingtonian—which I lead—has continued participating each year in this 5K fundraiser, since it's such a worthy cause.

Once again, I ask you for your support. In the 15 years our team has taken part in the Race for Hope, we have raised more than $100,000 for brain-tumor research and treatment--thanks to the generosity of our family and friends.
