Honoring Super Drew
Race For Hope - DC
Our family first participated in the Race for Hope in 2007 as a way to remember our wonderful son Drew and honor his short but amazing life. The response to our call for team members was both amazing and humbling. We had over 200 team members participate on our first race day! Many of our team members have returned year after year: former classmates (now in college), school families, teachers, coaches, friends and family from DC and beyond. Many are "virtual runners" who join us from around the country and as far away as Australia! And through the years, we have picked up wonderful new members for our team including two incredible brain tumor survivors. It is a day filled with goodwill and an empowering sense that we are making a difference for those still fighting brain cancer. Come on, get in the Super Drew spirit and join/rejoin the team as we raise our banner and celebrate our thirteenth year at the Race for Hope!
The Race for Hope - DC raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and support services for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Proceeds benefit the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure. Eric, Harrison and I thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors.
