Welcome to My Personal Page
On October 25, 2008, I was in the middle of my first semester of law school. It was a Saturday, and I was sitting at my kitchen table doing homework when I received one of the two worst phone calls of my life -- an MRI had revealed what appeared to be two cancerous tumors on my father's brain. We would eventually learn that Dad had a glioblastoma multiforme, the same type of cancer that John McCain had and that Joe Biden referred to as "The Monster" when writing about his son Beau's cancer.
Dad fought a great fight -- surgery, chemo and radiation. Unfortunately, just over 14 months after the initial MRI, Dad passed. Ten years later, the average survival rate for glioblastomas still only ranges from 14-18 months.
Therefore, I am uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. I am passionate about this cause, so I’m taking action and need your help. National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure are making strides for a cure - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort and consider donating!
