On March 1, 2015 my husband Greg Milkovich passed away from Stage IV brain cancer. In the preceding 13 months after his diagnosis we faced a lot of challenges but througout the process we always remained hopeful and we certainly made the most of the little time we were given together. The proceeds from this race will offer hope to others and, hopefully, give them more time than I had with Greg. That is why I am proud to again join the team "Americans Running for a Canadian, a/k/a Team Greg" formed in 2014 by my lovely, generous twin sister. This is just another example of the amazing support we have received throughout this time! I know that May 7th will be a day filled with love, as we remember and honor my husband.
In addition to generous donations and participation in the Race for Hope, the team will co-host the Fourth Annual Chili and Cocktails for a Cure on February 9th from 3-6 PM at Boundary Stone in Washington, DC. In addition to lots of yummy homemade chili and craft cocktails, there will be lots of great prizes for auction and raffle. More details can be found here: www.chiliandcocktailsforacure.org
I hope you will you support our team and the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure as we make strides for a cure!
