Welcome to My Personal Page
I recently accepted the challenge for a second year to participate in the Race for Hope - DC as the team captain of team Sherman's Saints. I’d like to invite you to fight alongside me by joining my team!
I want to share a little more about why this fight is so personal to me.
In April of 2014 I was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. Nearly 3 years since my diagnoses, I have survived many hurdles, adverse moments, and tests of faith. It’s been an ongoing battle managing treatments, therapies and doctor’s appointments, not knowing what to expect or what the future may hold for me; but I know that with God on my side and the continued support of my wonderful family and close friends, I will win this battle.
On May 7, 2017, I, along with thousands of other survivors and supporters, will be participating in the Race for Hope to help find a cure for brain tumors and cancer.
I am also participation in this race in memory of Ben Crawford, a friend who fought a great fight and became my motivation to keep living and fighting. His words of encouragement will never go unforgotten. Please join me as I continue to raise awareness and hope for this important cause.
“The race is not given to the swift nor the strong but he who endures until the end.”
There are 700,000 people in the US living with a brain tumor. This year 210,000 more will be diagnosed. I walk for all of these people, their caregivers, family and friends who have been or will be affected by their diagnoses. Join my team and let’s have some fun while we support this great cause!
I can’t wait to have you as part of my team!
Thanks in advance,
