IT'S 2019 AND THERE IS WORK TO BE DONE SO...WE ARE BACK!
Gary's Glioblasters is a team formed in memory of a great person loved by so many who lost his battle with GBM on 8/12/2012. He was my husband of 25 years, a dad to my girl Katie for 15 years and a son, brother in law, son in law, coworker and friend to so many. I don't think he had an enemy. He was kind and generous, hardworking, and a sweet gentle man. He'd do anything for anyone even if he didn’t know them. I witnessed his care and concern for others so many times. He was a good one and gone way too soon. Did I mention a VERY talented musician and former member of Artful Dodger. Gary believed in dreams and made them happen. Whatever he set his mind to he made happen. I was so lucky to share his world with him as his wife. His name was Gary Steven Cox.
So the thing is, nothing has changed. GBM and other brain cancers continue to kill. They take no mercy and as Gary would put it "melt his brain" We must escalate the research by providing funding. Will you help? Our team has raised $25,000 in the past but we need to continue.
Please help by joining (no need to be there that day but when you join you get a fundraising page that you can use in social media and email) Again- NO NEED TO ACTUALLY ATTEND THE 'RACE'
GARY'S GLIOBLASTERS IS ALSO PARTICIPATING IN MEMORY OF JOHN PROSHA WHO FOUGHT A COURAGEOUS BATTLE WITH GBM AND PASSED JUST LAST YEAR.
