2019 Race For Hope - DC

Ron like the wind

Dear Friends and Family,

Ron was diagnosed this January with a grade 2 brainstem glioma, after many months of health problems and appointments. After consulting with several doctors, Ron decided to undergo radiation treatment at Sibley Hospital in coordination with the Johns Hopkins medical team. The scheduled completion date for Ron’s radiation treatment is March 7th. This treatment will hopefully stop the growth of the tumor and shrink it.

While this has certainly been a very difficult time, Ron could not have come this far without all the incredible support of his family and friends. THANK YOU to all of you for your continued support in getting him through this very challenging time.

Ron would like to celebrate the completion of his radiation treatment, and journey back to health, with participation in the “Race for Hope,” to raise awareness and funds for additional brain tumor research for the purpose of eradicating brain tumors. It should be a great event, for a great cause, and hopefully with good weather.

It would mean so much to Ron to have his family and friends walking and running alongside him. If you plan to attend the race, join our team by clicking on the “Join Team” button on the right. If you can't attend in person, but would like to make a donation, click on the "Donate Now" button on the right.

The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cushman & Wakefield raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
