Come Walk with us on Sunday, May 5th in Dan's memory and to help find a cure for brain tumors
This will be the 15th consecutive year that we have walked in honor and memory of Dan. Our team alone has raised almost $30,000 to help find a cure for brain cancer! Although significant esearch has been done since his death, not much headway in terms of life expectancy has been made yet. The average survival rate is 12 to 18 months and only 5% survive more than 5 years, often with significant deficits. However, recently scientists have been figuring out how glioblastoma is able to evade chemotherapy and radiation treatment and are working on ways to inhibit these processes. Hopefully these advances will start to show in increased survival rates.
Each year we walk we not only to honor Dan's memory but also to walk one step closer toward a cure.
Thank you to friends and family for all your support over the years. It always amazes me to see so many faces year after year after year. It would have meant a lot to Dan to know you all are here for our family, and it certainly is very important for us.
