Steve Stone's Striders

This is the Steve Stone's Striders Team's 8th year as a participant in the Race for Hope-DC. Steve lost his fight with brain cancer in December 2010 after a long and courageous fight. Steve had over 35 years of distinguished service to his country, as both an Army Medical Service Corps officer for over 26 years and as a Program Director at LMI, a not-for-profit dedicated to advancing the science of government management. Colonel Stone was laid to rest with full military honors in Arlington National Cemetery on March 15, 2011. His family and many friends want to honor his memory by raising funds to support research and provide information for patients and their families regarding brain cancer. The Race for Hope-DC provides an organized focal point to help us accomplish that goal. We hope that many of Steve’s friends will be able to participate in the Race for Hope-DC on Sunday May 5, 2019 in Washington, DC or support Steve’s cause through a contribution to Steve Stone’s Striders. Thank you for your support and participation!
