This year's Race for Hope DC 5K Run / Walk will be held on Sunday, May 3rd. We'll be taking part for a third year in memory of my incredible mom Beverly who died in 2017, less than two months after being diagnosed with an aggressive, inoperable grade 4 astrocytoma brain tumor. We'll also be racing to support our teammates who have lost family members, friends, and coworkers to this terrible disease.
Last year our small but mighty team raised $3,246. We're setting our sights even higher this year -- hoping to raise even more money for brain tumor research and recruit a few more walkers/racers to join us. The annual fundraiser supports the National Brain Tumor Society, a non-profit leading the way in innovative brain cancer research to ultimately find a cure.
Please help support our team -- Beverly's Brainiacs -- as we join forces with thousands of runners and walkers to raise money in the fight against brain tumors. If you're unable to walk or run with us this May, perhaps you'll consider making a donation to this worthy cause.
Thanks in advance for your support,
