2020 Race For Hope DC

Kick Astrocytoma

We are excited to participate in the Race for the Hope for our 10th year and celebrate Ryan's 9th year of survivorship! We view the Race for Hope as a great opportunity to come together as a team, raise awareness about brain tumors, and raise money for research. Please consider participating and/or making a donation. Let us know if you have any questions. We greatly appreciate your support.

Ryan's story: Ryan was diagnosed with a right frontal lobe astrocytoma brain tumor on January 6, 2011 at the age of 26. Ryan had five crainiotomies, including two tumor resections. He experienced infection multiple times and subsequently went without a bone flap (but with a not-so-stylish cranial helmet) for 12 weeks to complete radiation/chemotherapy. He then completed 11 monthly cycles of chemotherapy. Ryan continues to KICK ASTROCYTOMA.

The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cassidy Turley raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
