As most of you know, my Mom was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in July of 2018. At that point, our lives changed dramatically and my priorities became clear. Family first, love harder and only spend time with those people who bring joy to my days. Thanks for everyone's love and support to date.
Mom is part of a clinical trial at Penn Medicine in Philly where she's receiving immunotherapy and working with an incredible team. Please keep the prayers coming for continued healing.
Several of us have participated in the Race for Hope, Philly the past couple years. We've done a great job raising money as a team to put towards brain tumor research. Last year, Mom even walked the entire 3 mile race, crossing the finish line with our group! This year, my family and I have formed a team to participate locally, here in DC. The event was scheduled for Sunday, May 3rd, starting in Freedom Plaza by the White House. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it's now being run as a VIRTUAL event, mainly through Facebook Live.
I am uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors. I am passionate about this cause, and have recently become an Advocate for the National Brain Tumor Society, so this is one way I’m taking action and need your help.
National Brain Tumor Society is making strides for a cure - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort!
The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cushman & Wakefield raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
