Dear Beehive Family,
Today. February 10, 2020. An important date. It would have been Mom's 85th Birthday and for Mom it was indeed a National Holiday! Unfortunately Mom only got to see 75 of those years due to a malignant brain tumor for which there was no cure.
Over the past 10 years Barrie's Beehive has significantly contributed to the research that the National Brain Tumor Society has been funding. While we are no David Cook or Cushman Wakefield we do all that we can to assist in this most worthy cause. (We raised over $15,000 last year alone and we are so grateful and humbled by everyone's generosity.)
As we did last year, Randy and I are once again stepping up to Captain Barrie's Beehive in honor and memory of not only our Mom but, of course, our Sister Robin - the true Captain.
When Mom died so suddenly and so young in 2010 Robin set a course and set her mind on giving back and the next thing we all knew we were headed to Washington DC in 2011 to run/walk/chat our way through our very first Race for Hope.
We were (and still are) so moved by those Yellow Tee Shirts that, each year, lead off the Race. THESE ARE THE SURVIVORS. THESE FOLKS YOUNG AND OLD ARE THE REASON THAT WE DO THIS!
Sunday, May 3, 2020 - Washington DC - CVS at Freedom Plaza will once again be the place to be! (Hopefully a little less soggy this year!)
The link below is to the RFH home page. Should you wish to join the team please search for Barrie's Beehive...all are welcome! If you are unable to join us please consider a donation to the Hive in honor of Mom and Robin.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Lets Make This Another Great Year for Barrie's Beehive and the Race for Hope!
Robin would end this - Go Patriots
Randy would end this - Go Bills
I will end this as Mom would have - HTTR!
