2020 Race For Hope DC

Steven and Harry

Some of you may know the story but allow me to share for those who don't. In February of 2016 my brother, father and I were in West Palm Beach playing in a golf tournament. After my dad returned to Boston he began having tremors on his left side. What appeared to be insignificant, turned out to be a grade IV brain tumor (glioblastoma). After a 10 hour surgery, 6 months of chemo, radiation and other treatments we lost my dad, Harry, 16 months after our golf trip.

Pete Elek and his dad had planned the trip of a lifetime for January of 2019. A week in Pebble Beach golfing and hanging out with great friends. While we waited for his dad to arrive, Pete got the terrible news that his dad had gone to the doctor due to dizziness and was also diagnosed with a brain tumor. Steven has endured three brain surgeries as well as chemo and radiation and continues to fight this terrible disease today.

As a memory to my father, and to support Steven's fight we have decided to raise money and run a 5k for the National Brain Tumor Society.

Please consider joining our team and running along with us, or donating to this great cause. Below is additional information on the race.
