As many of you know, we lost my beautiful sister, Sarah Attea Griffin, to Glioblastoma on November 4, 2018. Glioblastoma is by far one of the most aggressive cancers today. There has been little change in treatment over the past decade for those who are diagnosed with Glioblastoma. Any contribution big or small will help with funding for this disease. I ask that we come together and make an impact to help those fighting every day of their life to win their battle. What this disease does to the human body is unfathomable, and it needs to stop. Sarah was the most beautiful, loving, generous, smart, and the strongest person I will ever know. She fought everyday since she was diagnosed. I am so very proud to be her sister.
We began honoring Sarah at the Race for Hope in 2018 when Sarah was still with us. We will continue to honor her every year and raise money in her name so no one has to endure the pain and suffering that Sarah faced. Sarah would be so proud to know that her friends and family continue to raise money to help those who have been diagnosed with Glioblastoma. Our family and friends will walk for Sarah on Sunday, May 3, 2020. It will be a beautiful tribute to her. We all love and miss Sarah so much. She was a mentor to so many, and an inspiration to us all. Forever and Always, we love you, Sarah! We love you so much!
Last year our team raised over $11,000. Thank you to everyone who donated, and who continue to donate in Sarah's name. Your generosity has not gone unnoticed. Our goal this year is to continue to raise money in hopes for better treatment and ultimately a cure. Every cent is so greatly appreciated. Your contribution to NBTS will give hope to families and those diagnosed with GBM. Love to you all! Xoxo The Attea Family
