Welcome to My Personal Page
As you may know, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor 16 years ago and the NBTS was one of the first places my family and I turned for information. They were so helpful to us during a very confusing time. If you'd like to support me and the NBTS in this race, please consider donating by clicking on the green button to the right. And if you want to join my team, online registration is open now (click the blue button to the right) or you can register on the morning of the race. You can register to run, walk, or volunteer.
After amazing events at our new home at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for the last three years, I'm more excited than ever for the 14th annual Race for Hope Philadelphia on October 12, 2019! We were able to add so many amazing new things because of the new venue, like the Remembrance Ceremony, the Survivor Stroll, and the Family Fair with a photo booth, Star Wars characters, and face painting. We'll be able to add even more new things to this year's event, and we've had some time to work out the kinks with the new venue.
Please join me this year for the best Race for Hope Philadelphia yet! Your support and commitment mean the world to me, as do the event and the National Brain Tumor Society. As you may know, I have co-chaired the Volunteer Planning Committee for the Race, and as a 15 year chordoma brain tumor survivor/thriver, NBTS' mission of research and advocacy is something I support whole-heartedly. Money raised from the Race goes directly to funding research that will lead to cures for brain tumors. In fact, NBTS funded a seed grant that led to the recent breakthroughs using the polio virus to attack brain tumors and David Arons, the CEO of NBTS, is part of the White House Cancer Moonshot Task Force that was led by former-Vice President Biden! The dollars that we raise make a huge impact, and we have never been closer to a cure than we are now.
Joining the team is as easy as clicking the blue "Join Beth's Team" button on the right of this page. In addition to the shirt you receive as part of your registration, I will once again have Team Finnspiration shirts printed as a token of my thanks to you. There are also some great fundraising incentives this year, so encourage your friends and family to donate to this great cause. Please invite others to join us on the team, too; the more the merrier!
I'm so looking forward to the biggest Team Finnspiration yet on October 12 at the Philadelphia Navy Yard! See you there!
