Hope Brings Strength
Team Hope Brings Strength will once again participate in the National Brain Tumor Society, Race for Hope, to raise awareness and money for those impacted by brain tumors. Last year we had the biggest team since Team Hope Brings Strength formed in 2013. - it was made up of many family members, extended family and wonderful friends. Bobby and our family were surrounded by such love and support.
"Hope Brings Strength" began as a family motto nearly 9 years ago, when Bobby was diagnosed with a large mass on the left side of his brain; a diffuse, Grade 2 astrocytoma near the language center of the brain. Bobby was 17 years old and a senior in high school with his whole life ahead of him; today Bobby is 26, he is a strong and dynamic young man helping those who are fighting addiction issues. Bobby lives his life to the fullest, he looks at each day as a gift and focuses on living not on the impact of his disease. Bobby fights each day by living a healthy life style, by exercising and by being positive in everything he does. As he says, he loves his life, he feels good and nothing will stop him from living his best life.We should all have his spirt.
So, to honor Bobby and all those fighting this disease, Team Hope Brings Strength has raised close to $150,000 over the past six years for the NBTS. We are determined NOT to rest until there is a cure. The National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Thank you for all those that have supported us over the years and those that have been a part of Team Hope Brings Strength. Again, we invite you to join us as Hope Brings Strength runs the Race for Hope 2019! Thank you for your support!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research and advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
