Sacramento Brain Freeze

Board of Directors Team (West Coast)

Dear friends,

Please join my team for the Sacramento Brain Freeze, or make a donation to support the Board of Directors team for the west coast (the best coast).

SACRAMENTO BRAIN FREEZE
Saturday, October 17, 2019, Nimbus Dam Recreation Area

My life changed in July 2008 when I learned I had a grade II astrocytoma--a slow growing, but malignant brain tumor. After two brain surgeries, struggles with seizures, physical and occupational therapy, and 2 years of chemotherapy, I am lucky to be here today.

My life changed yet again when my dad was diagnosed with a more aggressive form of brain cancer--glioblastoma--in fall 2015. He died seven months later.

Today, I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors for National Brain Tumor Society--the nation's leading non-profit organization dedicated to advocacy and research for the brain tumor community. I have been a volunteer with NBTS in some form of fashion since 2009. You can learn more about how I have volunteered during that time on my Team Captain page (click my name on the right).

Please join me in supporting of the work of NBTS by joining my team or making a donation today.

Thank you for supporting an organization that makes it possible for do-ers like me to keep doing.

Liz
