Nothing Like A Dame Book Launch

nothinglikeadamebook2Monday, January 27, 6-8 pm
Oxford University Press
198 Madison Ave at East 35th Street, NYC

Rub elbows with the dames of the Great White Way and celebrate the publication of Nothing Like a Dame: Conversations with the Great Women of Musical Theater by Eddie Shapiro at a special benefit event Monday, January 27, for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Meet some of the Tony Award-winning leading ladies featured in the book including Laura Benanti, Judy Kaye, Donna McKechnie, Debra Monk, Donna Murphy, Leslie Uggams, Lillias White and Karen Ziemba. (Special guests subject to change.)

In Nothing Like a Dame, Shapiro opens a jewelry box full of glittering surprises, through in-depth conversations with 20 leading women of Broadway. The women discuss their careers, offer insights into iconic shows, changes on Broadway over the last century and the art (and thrill) of taking the stage night after night. A complimentary copy of Nothing Like a Dame will be provided to each guest.

Hors d’oeuvres, wine and champagne will be served.

Reservations for the book launch for Nothing Like a Dame are no longer available online. There will be tickets available at the door.
