Just recently, Child Advocates was appointed by the Harris County courts to advocate for sisters who are 14 and 17 years old. The girls were reportedly hit with an extension cord and sexually abused by their caregivers. Faye and Joanna were immediately placed in the care of Child Protective Services.

Child Advocates provides advocates to children who are victims of child abuse, like Faye and Joanna. Abuse is often intergenerational, and an advocate can help break the cycle for a family. Our advocates represent the best interest of children in foster care while also searching for a safe, permanent home for them. So far this year, over 1,100 children have benefitted from a dedicated advocate.
