Jim Engleson | CAN Pro-Am Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting Jim's personal fundraising page in support of Canucks Autism Network (CAN). This year we want to send this out to our family and friends, more for awareness than anything else. Many of you may have seen Jamie in the 'Did you Know' video that went viral with over 4.5 million views in one day! If not, it is available online at: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bvwtb_WBHwH/?hl=en
DID YOU KNOW?
In Canada, 1 in 66 children are diagnosed with autism BUT did you know that in BC, 1 in 46 children have autism, with boys 4x more likely (1 in 29) than girls (1 in 114). These are all just numbers of course but they also tell the story of a rising group of children needing acceptance, understanding, support and inclusion in our community spaces. Canucks Autism Network provides this and has given our family the means to watch Jamie grow from supported swim lessons to family events to summer overnight camp.
CAN YOU IMAGINE?
Almost every one of you - your kids, your nephews or nieces or grandchildren - have experienced some sort of activity, swim lessons, gymnastics, skating or soccer, just to name a few. Now imagine these children, your children, not having the chance to try something new, to be part of a team, to feel safe and to have fun. This is what Canucks Autism Network gives families in our community and which is why we try our best to support this cause. We have seen the impact it has made in so many lives of the families we have met. For many, there is truly nothing else out there for them.
For our fundraising efforts, we want to support CAN’s programs and spread the awareness. Please donate 46 dollars to represent the 1 in 46 children in BC diagnosed with autism, 29 dollars for the 1 in 29 boys, or 114 for the girls, OR if you are too busy or too deep in holiday bills, please forward this link to others who might want to support OR more importantly, to someone who might need the support of CAN.
Thank you so much,
Jim and Julie
