3 top tips to hit your $150 minimum donation - CIBC Run for the Cure

3 top tips to hit your fundraising goals

Whether you’re new to fundraising this year, or are a returning fundraising superstar, CCS has some tips to help you go above and beyond your fundraising goal!

1. Support yourself

Kick start your own fundraising and help hit your fundraising goal by donating to yourself! Not only will you hit your fundraising goal faster, but your supporters will be able to see just how passionate you are about the breast cancer cause and may even feel more compelled to help you reach your goal.

2. Personalize your fundraising page

Did you know that fundraisers who add a Run profile picture to their fundraising page raise more money than those who don’t? Using the photo editor, you can update your profile picture on your fundraising page and then share through your social media accounts.

Also take a moment to update your story on your fundraising page. Why are you running this year? Is there a connection to the breast cancer cause that you want to share with your supporters? Personalizing your fundraising page is a great way to share with your friends why you’re taking part in the Run this year and it can also be a great reminder for people to donate!

3. Get social

In your Fundraising Centre, you can send pre-written messages to your networks on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. It’s simple - all you have to do is connect your personal profiles. With your family and friends just a few clicks away, this will make fundraising even easier!

You don’t have to limit yourself to social media, either! Did you know that you can download a badge to add to your email signatures to update in real time with how much you have raised? The email badge will also help promote your participation in the Run and encourage others to get involved or join you on Run day!
