The Impact: How Zach's Movement is Helping Fight Osteosarcoma
People inspired by Zach’s story started a movement and have raised millions to end osteosarcoma.
Before Zach passed away in 2013, he and his family started the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund (ZSOF) to support researchers looking for better treatments and cures for the disease that was slowly taking Zach’s life. In the seven years since Zach’s death, researchers have made 16 new discoveries about the genetics of osteosarcoma and opened a national clinical trial to test a potentially groundbreaking drug.
100% OF ALL DONATIONS TO ZACH’S FUND GO DIRECTLY TO OSTEOSARCOMA RESEARCH.
We’re funding groundbreaking research, because of supporters like you that believe in Zach’s mission to find a cure.
Today’s treatments for osteosarcoma aren’t enough, they cause short-term and long-term side effects like organ damage, hearing loss and even heighten the risk or secondary cancers. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Your donation to the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund supports the best research minds across the country who are working on treatments and cures that could beat osteosarcoma for good.
We identify the most promising and innovative osteosarcoma projects.
We fill critical funding gaps and fuel groundbreaking discoveries so they can continue uninterrupted.
Every $1 donated helps researchers receive an average of $18 in grants from the National Institutes of Health and other large funding sources.
